The OeAD's financial results for 2023 underline our growth course and confirm our role as Austria's leading agency for education and internationalisation.

With total assets of EUR 61 million and revenue of EUR 29.9 million the OeAD fulfils the criteria of a large corporation. With 370 employees the OeAD disbursed 106 million euros in funding for projects and scholarships to individual and institutional beneficiaries in 2023. This corresponds to an increase of EUR 9.5 million or 10% compared to 2022. Besides Erasmus+ the Ukraine scholarships, Sparkling Science, the lectureship programme and the Ernst Mach scholarships were among the funding programmes with the highest amounts disbursed.

The new OeAD Digital Skills Office, for example, contributed to the expansion in the customer group of adult education institutions. As regards the OeAD's housing office, a 100% subsidiary of the OeAD with around 67 employees, around 10,000 people were accommodated in mostly low-energy and passive houses. The OeAD is expected to grow further in 2024 due to the expansion of funding programmes such as extremism prevention and memorial visits.
