After your stay in Austria
Electronic storage of personal data, data protection
Your personal data is stored electronically by the OeAD for the administration of scholarships and follow-up programmes, insofar as this is compatible with the Austrian Federal Act concerning the Protection of Personal Data (Datenschutzgesetz). Your data will only be passed on to the host institution (e.g. university) and the institution financing your scholarship (e.g. federal ministry) and its controlling bodies (e.g. audit court of the Republic of Austria) as well as to the OeAD Housing Office if you have booked accommodation.
Data of scholars from non-European developing countries will be reported to the ÖFSE (Österreichische Forschungsstiftung für Entwicklungshilfe) for statistical reasons. Any other institutions to which data may be passed on will be named explicitly in the scholarship award letter.
When accepting your grant/scholarship you agree that your name, nationality, home institution as well as project-related data (such as topic of the study or research project, duration, amount of the grant) may be published both in OeAD publications and on the website of the OeAD (www.oead.at).
Scholars’ feedback
Your feedback is important to us! At the end of your stay in Austria we will ask you to fill in an online questionnaire to tell us about your stay in Austria.
Your suggestions help us to further improve our services and to facilitate future scholars even better.
OeAD Alumni/follow-up contact
We would like to keep in touch with you after your scholarship has ended and you have returned home. Numerous alumni activities help you to stay in touch with your friends and fellow scholarship students in Austria.
For you to keep in touch we have established an alumni portal: www.oead.at/alumni
We would be happy if you kept the contact to us after your return home and invite you to contribute to our oead.news for scholars & alumni.
