Academic Recognition

Austria has concluded agreements or memorandums about academic recognition with a number of countries. ENIC NARIC AUSTRIA, the competent department at the Federal Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF), informs about all agreements and publishes a whole series of publications on this topic.

The Diploma Supplement is to facilitate academic and professional recognition.

Professional Recognition

In the field of professional recognition the Federal Ministry of Science and Research (ENIC-NARIC) is only in charge of academic rating of foreign diplomas. Recognition itself is carried out by the authority in charge of the relevant profession.
The Federal Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth informs about the regulations concerning professional recognition.
