Inspiring Talents for the Future - MONDI Austrian Student Scholarship
The services and long-standing experience of the OeAD in the field of administration of scholarship programmes are well-known. After detailed negotiations a contract was concluded with the non-profit-making Mondi Austria Private Foundation in June 2006 and the OeAD was commissioned with the administration of the Austrian Student Scholarship.
The Mondi Austria Private Foundation is a non-profit-making private foundation. Its aim is to support the education of talented young people from Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and Austria and enable them to study at Austrian universities and universities of applied sciences.
Closing date
for applications at the Mondi Austria Private Foundation is May 31st of each year, in June the Mondi Austria Private Foundation selects the candidates according to the guidelines of the programme from the numerous applications received.
Selection criteria
e.g. formal qualification, exceptional achievements in the education so far, extra-curricular activities as well as the submission of all application documents. Supported are technical, scientific and economic fields of study. The scholarship of the Mondi Austria Private Foundation does not include any future obligation to work for the Mondi group.
The OeAD is in charge of the whole guidance of the scholarship holders from admission at the Austrian university via assistance in questions related to the law relating to aliens (for nationals of third countries) to the monitoring of the course of their studies and the well-established guidance offered by the regional OeAD offices.
The generously endowed scholarship enables the support of a complete study programme for people who
- can prove being in possession of the Austrian university entrance qualification
- have not yet started a study programme in Austria
The age limit for applicants is 23 years.
Students who are interested in studying at Austrian universities, universities of applied sciences or other Austrian educational institutions comparable to these and to complete their studies at one of these institutions are supported.
The OeAD hopes to be able to carry out similar initiatives in the future.
