Academic Evaluation Centre for the Asian Region

The tasks of this office, which is part of the OeAD are:

• Management and supervision of the bilateral cooperation between Austria and Germany at the Academic Evaluation Centre Beijing
• Evaluation of the academic background of Chinese students in cooperation with the Academic Evaluation Centre Beijing
  
  • Continuously throughout the year: Verification of academic documents for Chinese scholarship holders and Ph. D students as well as for all Chinese students who had already entered Austria on a student visa before the 1/2/2005 or those who are married to an Austrian citizen.
  • Twice a year: Verification procedures for individual Chinese applicants in Beijing/PR of China, whereby the applicants will be interviewed by the project manager and a second examiner as part of the verification of their academic documents.
• Advice and support for Austrian academic institutions and Austrian government bodies in their academic exchange policy with East Asia
• Member of an expert team which assists the ASEM Education Secretariat in Bonn by drafting multinational contracts and organizing working groups and conferences.
