Tasks

The following activities outline the core tasks of ARQA-VET:

• Information of the national stakeholders (i.e. the actors in vocational education, e.g. educational institutions, social partners and companies as well as actors in vocational further education) about the activities of the European EQARF network and vice versa.
• Active support of the development and implementation of EQARF and the development of the work programme of the EQARF network.
• Development of specific measures to support quality assurance and development in the field of vocational education.
• Making stakeholders aware of the advantages of the application of quality assurance principles, methods and tools.
• Operational support of Section II Vocational Education at the Federal Ministry for Education, Arts and Culture in the implementation of the Quality Initiative Vocational Education (QIBB) and the national and European activities of the EQARF network.

Specific examples of fulfilling these activities are:

• Organisation of the EQARF Opening Conference in January 2010 and the 1st Quality Network Conference in October 2009.
• Coordination, administration and quality assurance of Peer Review in QIBB.
• Ongoing information of our stakeholders on the homepage www.arqa-vet.at and with our newsletter ARQA-VET NEWS.
• Assistance and support of the Austrian EU team on the concerns of quality assurance and quality development in vocational education and training.
