Cooperation between Science & Schools
Research connects people. New ways for cooperation between science and schools
To improve the collaboration between science and schools the Federal Ministry of Science and Research (BMWF) creates and supports numerous initiatives and programmes at the interface between secondary and tertiary education. These measures and programmes are directed at different actors in the education system and address different age groups: children’s universities inspire the youngest age group; Sparkling Science addresses the whole education system throughout all age groups and Higher Education Career Counselling NEW addresses future students.
The field of cooperation between science and schools, which is administered by the OeAD/ICM, bundles the synergies of these measures in the information and service centre Young Science, a project of the Federal Ministry of Science and Research and at the same time coordinates the administration of the junior researcher support programme Sparkling Science, which was created by the Federal Ministry of Science and Research in 2007.
