ARQA-VET - Austrian Reference Point for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training

Since October 1^st, 2007 an Austrian Reference Point for Quality Assurance in Vocational Education and Training, ARQA-VET, has been established at the OeAD-GmbH.

We see ourselves as a service organisation endeavouring to serve the actors in vocational education and training in Austria as well and as comprehensively as possible with services and know-how in the fields of quality assurance and quality development.

Our aim is to cross-link these stakeholders – our customers – and to play an active mediating role from and to the European level. As one of presently 19 national reference points we also want to act in a pro-active and innovative way in this European network.

The recommendation of June 18^th, 2009 of the European Parliament and the Council (EQARF Recommendation 2009/C 155/01) now constitutes the basis for the establishment of the "Quality Assurance National Reference Points" (QANRP) in the EU member countries. This recommendation creates a European reference framework for quality assurance in vocational education and training (EQARF).
