ERASMUS MUNDUS Action 1 - Information for Students
ERASMUS MUNDUS offers a full time scholarship for excellent students – not only from Austria or Europe, but from all over the world – who have successfully applied for an ERASMUS MUNDUS Masters Course or an ERASMUS MUNDUS Joint Doctorate.
An ERASMUS MUNDUS study course lasts between 1–2 years (Master) or 3–4 years (PhD). A minimum of three European Higher Education Institutions (EU or EEA) are actively involved. Students need to study at least at two different
European Higher Education Institutions. Furthermore, it is possible for Third Country universities (not EU or EEA) to participate in the consortium
of an ERASMUS MUNDUS study course and therefore host EM students for one semester. Internships in enterprises and at research institutions
are possible, too.
ERASMUS MUNDUS Scholarships
In regard to scholarships there are two categories of ERASMUS MUNDUS students:
- Category A Students from Third Countries who have lived in Europe less than 12 months during the last 5 years.
- Category B ›European students‹ or students from Third Countries who have lived in Europe for more than 12 months during the last 5 years
